Russ was recommended to me by a friend, also his profile which is on the wall in the gym was impressive and just what I was looking for.
WHAT METHODS OF ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS HAD YOU TRIED BEFORE?
Simple workouts at the gym, treadmill, bikes etc. I had been training on my own for a few months and managed to lose some weight; however I had come to a standstill and wasn’t managing to lose any more weight or improve on my fitness. My fitness before starting with Russ was quite poor, I was only able to run on the treadmill for a couple of minutes at a time and would get tired quite easily.
WHAT GOALS WERE YOU LOOKING TO ACHIEVE THROUGH YOUR PT? DID YOU ACHIEVE THEM?
My main goal was to improve on my fitness as I was aiming to get accepted into the RAF as a fire-fighter, also to lose more weight and get a better knowledge of food and diet. Russ created workout programmes that pushed me, as the weeks went on my weight was dropping, I was gaining muscle and my fitness was defiantly improving. In the 5 months that I have worked with Russ my lifestyle has changed and he has changed my whole outlook on working out and diet. My fitness and stamina have vastly improved, from not being able to run for longer than two minutes, I can now run for miles wearing a 10 KG weight vest! And do a workout in the gym after! Which I never thought possible. Russ prepared me both physically and mentally for all my physical tests that I needed to do to get into the RAF, without his help, training or support I feel I would have never made it into the RAF.

Russ was always very encouraging, and helped me push myself whilst training. Using friendly banter Russ helped me feel more comfortable with what I was doing.

All the training and hard work has paid off as I have been accepted into the RAF as a fire-fighter.
