HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF PRIOR TO STARTING THE PT SESSIONS?
I had confidence but I think it was mainly just a front; I gave myself a big personality to match the rest of me. I definitely had no confidence in the way I looked.
WHAT METHODS OF ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS HAD YOU TRIED BEFORE?
I'd gone to the gym quite often but never trained really hard and tried lots of different diets.  At the back of my mind I always thought I couldn't do it.
WHAT TRAINING TECHNIQUES DID RUSS USE WITH YOU?
We spent most of the first couple of sessions talking about reasonable changes I could make to my lifestyle and eating habits.  He drew up a diet plan guideline which really helped because I realised that just the smallest little changes could make a big difference.  He also gave me a sheet to keep an eye on how often I trained and laid out clear guidelines as to which exercises I should be doing and why.

WHAT GOALS WERE YOU LOOKING TO ACHIEVE THROUGH YOUR PT?
I'm still training very hard to get to my goal but I have come a long way since I started with Russ.  My original goal was to lose around 5 stone and get from a size 22 down to a dress size 14.  I have now lost over 4 and a half stone and am still training hard with Russ to push for that last 7-14 pounds.

PLEASE DESCRIBE THE PT EXPERIANCE
Russ was really supportive with everything that we did. He went out of his way to fit the training around me and he spent a lot of his own time preparing training plans.  He also made each session different and always pushed me to my limit to show me just how much I could actually do. Sessions included boxing and other 'boot camp' activities which made them more of a challenge as well as being something interesting and definitely something to look forward to. He was also very supportive, yet firm, in times when I didn't lose any weight.

Size 22 to Size 16
Loss of 4 and _ stone

My fitness has improved greatly, originally I was only able to jog for 30 seconds at a time before being very out of breath.  Now I can jog at the same speed for around 5 mins without a break.  I am planning to jog around the 5km race for life this year rather than walking it.

I also have more energy in my daily activities.  I train pretty much every day before work and still have enough energy to work a 9 hour shift and go out in the evening as well.  My skin is also a lot clearer and healthier and I am hardly ever off sick from work. I feel a lot more youthful now than ever before.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD ANY OTHER COMMENTS PLEASE DO SO HERE.I'd like to thank Russ for his commitment to my training program and the support he has given me.  I've always felt very comfortable with him, especially when I’ve always been very embarrassed by my weight.  He is a very approachable person and we always have a good laugh.  Being a Personal Trainer is not just a job to Russ, it is something he is very passionate about.  As I have seen with my own training he definitely likes to see things through to the end.  I am very grateful to Russ for this as it means that if I don't reach my goal, I will be letting him down as well as myself.
