Before I started training with Russ, I thought I worked hard in the gym and went 3 -4 times a week. I was frustrated because I couldn't lose weight and began to wonder why I bothered exercising.
I decide to try a personal trainer and chose Russ, who I already knew from the gym. My intention was to have 5 sessions and then go it alone. I didn't know what hard work was until I trained with Russ. I felt exhilarated after each session as Russ made each session different and always told me what exercises we were going to do. He also gave me a programme to use during the week. I didn't lose weight immediately as I still could not resist chocolate and wine. However as I became fitter and started to feel good about myself I began to eat more healthily and accepted the good advice offered by Russ on where to make improvements with my diet. Seeing Russ on a regular basis and monitoring my weight loss has kept me motivated to achieve my goals, as well as not letting Russ down.
I have lost over a stone (still like chocolate and wine but not as much as before) and now really feel confident about my body shape. It's also nice when friends and colleagues comment on how much better I look. Although I don't see Russ now on a regular basis I am still motivated enough to keep in shape and stay at this weight. I know I can do it; Russ has given me the confidence to know that working hard achieves results.
