Kinetic Chain Assessments

FEMALE_bendyAll of our clients undergo a physical assessment prior to commencing any training programmes. Part of this is the Kinetic Chain assessment which was created by physiotherapists.

The three main components that make up the kinetic chain are the, skeletal system, muscular system, and the nervous system. It is considered normal for these three systems to work synergistically to achieve optimal pain free movement. In reality the synergy can be affected by muscular imbalance and faulty movement patterns brought about by; injury, poor posture, repetitive strain, inappropriate training technique, bad working environment, disease, pain. During the assessment which comprise of basic human movements such as squatting, bending, twisting, we will pin point any areas of concern and work towards a natural solution.

What can I expect?

After undergoing our Kinetic Chain assessment we will be able to draw up an action plan. When you follow our advice you will notice less aches and pains as the programme will work by informing you which of the tighter muscles need stretching verses which of your weaker muscles need strengthening to bring your body back into balance.
